Overview

The program was designed by the School of Business, Washington Global Institute, and Washington College Institute for Religion, Politics and Culture.

The nine-day educational trip for human resources covered such topics as:
– Human Resources Analytics Outcomes
– Organizational Communications
– Labor Relations
– Human Resource Management
– Employment Training and Development
– Global Human Resource Management
– Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management

Cultural Immersion

Students from De La Salle’s School of Management and Information Technology visited many of the cultural landmarks in Washington, DC, including the Washington Monument, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and the United States Capitol Building.

Educational Tours

Site visits including human resources departments at Sinai Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, the Marriott in Bethesda, and Montgomery College.

Lectures and Workshops

Professors from Georgetown University offered a general overview of human resources issues and problems in the United States before delving into organizational communications, employee training and development, and human resource analytics.

Business and Government in the U.S.

Prof. Joseph Prud’homme offered a lecture on current affairs in the United States before guiding the group on tours of Congress, the Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court.
